The AI Visibility Check asks real AI engines about the business and shows whether they mention and cite you - that is an outcome measure, and it varies by engine, phrasing, language and time. The SEO/GEO Analyser loads one page like a crawler and returns deterministic verdicts on the technical layer - the same page gives the same answer on every run. The two complement each other: the Analyser shows whether the page is ready to be read, and the Visibility Check shows what the engines actually do with it. Both are free and open to anyone.
The crawler runs only when a check is requested, makes at most 25 requests per check and no more than four at a time to the same server, and sends GET requests only - it reads the page like any visitor, leaving forms, accounts and content untouched. Addresses other than the page you asked about are fetched only when robots.txt allows it for our crawler. On frequency: one free check per 24 hours, and members get one free check a day and then 10 tokens per check. The crawler identifies itself as MrRobot-SEO-Analyser, and the /bot page explains exactly what it requests and how to allow or block it.
Every check ends in one of three results: pass, needs fixing, or not checked. “Not checked” means the check could not be completed within the scan budget - the 25 requests or the time ran out, the address is disallowed for our crawler in robots.txt, the resource is not linked from the page, or the fetch itself failed. It is a state of its own in the report and is counted separately from a pass, so the score reflects only what was actually verified. The report states how many checks ended this way and why, and a repeat check usually covers them.
SEO is optimization for Google search results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) focuses on becoming the direct answer to questions - on Google and in answer engines. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) extends this to AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, where it is important that information about the business is clear, verified and citable.
